BIO

Daniel B Gonzales is a registered architect in the State of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of New Mexico and has recently completed his Master of Architecture from the University of Maryland. His design experience and regional diversity have encompassed an array of project typlogies and scales that satisfy the social, environmental, and aesthetic integrity that define the "identity of place" in communities.

While attending the University of New Mexico, he had the opportunity to spend a summer studying abroad in Switzerland, Northern Italy, and Spain. Travels to Europe, Mexico, and roadtrips across the US have enhanced his passion for sensory perception in architecture. His studies contributed to his critical understanding of architectural environments defined by the cultural identity of place to design atmospheres that re-energizes human consciousness.

His professional experience involves teaming closely with principals and project managers of a small architecture office that specializes in public projects. Assets that he brings to the design team include a multi-proficiency in digital software and hand media to visually communicate design concepts and translate ideas to an architectural reality. His teamwork and leadership qualifications allow him the capacity to challenge the norm and provide services that exceed beyond expectations.

As a designer, music has been a major contributor to his design process. He volunteered as an on-air DJ at WMUC 88.1 FM in College Park, Maryland and is currently hosting an Underground Hip Hop show on KUNM 89.9 FM in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
